Technology and innovation are major drivers of development. Therefore, many systems including organizations, governments, institutions, and schools are always looking to leverage on these two. In the Nigerian educational ecosystem, however, only a few of the institutions can completely pull this off. Thanks partly to the meagre attention paid to education in the country. As a result, when universities are recognized for their endeavours in innovation, we become interested in the metrics; why they deserve the award? Recently, the University of Nigeria, Nsukka won the award for the Most Innovative Federal University in the country at the Nigeria Technology Awards.
